Mazda of Grande Prairie (formerly Revolution Mazda) is now under new, local ownership and proudly part of the Harris Auto Group—a family-owned automotive group with 10 dealerships across Western Canada. As we expand into Alberta, we're building a strong leadership team that will shape the next chapter of our growth story. We're currently seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to oversee our dealership's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This is a key leadership role for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, integrity, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions including A/P, A/R, payroll, and month-end/year-end processes.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and management reports.
  • Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and ownership team to provide financial insight and recommendations.
  • Manage banking relationships, audits, and manufacturer financial reporting.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
  • Support dealership operations with timely, data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience in the automotive industry (Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accountant level).
  • CPA designation or relevant accounting education preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dealership financial statements (CDK, Dealertrack, or Reynolds & Reynolds, PBS experience an asset).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop team members.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to integrity.
