Rentco's Tool Shed (a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd.) is a local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for over 60 years. They provide the tools and equipment to complete home-owner repairs and maintenance. Rentco's Tool Shed is also a "go-to" place in Grande Prairie for event rentals, permanent holiday lighting, and Stihl and Husqvarna tools.

We are currently looking for a full-time Customer Service Representative based out of our Grande Prairie Tool Shed. This position will primarily spend most of the time (60%) working on front counter and the remainder of the time working in the back shop.

As the Customer Service Representative, you are responsible for:

Assisting customers in-store and over the phone by providing information about our equipment and stockProcessing customer rentals and purchasesMaintaining a high level of product and service knowledgeParticipating in merchandizing and promotional activitiesPreparing detailed invoices and customer statementsCreating work orders for damaged or deficient equipmentVerifying received shipments by checking order against shipping documents and notifying Manager of any discrepancies and omissionsKeeping shelf selection areas stocked and clean and orderlyAccurately and efficiently preparing rental equipment for customersTesting equipment and showing customers how to operate equipment as requiredOverseeing the secure and accurate loading and unloading of equipmentPerforming routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order using the rental tagging systemInspecting returned equipment for damages and reporting any damages to counter staff immediately Ensuring that the yard and shop is neat, organized, and safe by putting equipment in proper locations and ensuring that debris and snow is clearedPreparing records of incoming, outgoing, or damaged equipment as required per Rentco proceduresWashing and fuel equipment, including the washing of event rentals
​​​​​​​You have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Ability to work Monday to Friday from either 8-5 or 9-6 and on a Saturday rotation with increased hours, including Sundays during the spring and summerIntermediate computer skills, including programs Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn our internal software Ability to work efficiently both independently and as a part of a teamAbility to communicate in writing and perform basic mathematical calculationsAbility to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and skid steersAbility to lift up to 50lbs. Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritizing skillsExcellent verbal communication skillsStrong work ethic and a positive team attitude
