Dental Assistant Level II

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental software such as Tracker, as well as familiarity with complex restorative or surgical procedures, will be highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where professionalism and compassion are essential. The days are Monday to Saturday until December 2025 to start and then eventually Tuesday to Saturday starting 2026. Hours are 12 to 5pm on Monday, and 8 to 4pm Tuesday-Wednesday and then 9 to 5pm Thursday, 10 to 3pm Friday and 9 to 2pm Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures
- Take dental radiographs
- Manage patient records using dental software
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Experience with dental software including Tracker
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology related to dentistry
- Familiarity with scanning technology like iTero or Trios
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical setting
- Certified/trained in HARP, WHMIS and IPAC
- Certification or training in dental assisting is REQUIRED
