The successful candidate will be part of a team that is shaping the mining industry for years to come. Our client is one of only a handful of companies pushing the limits of BEV mining technology, and their team in the Vancouver area plays a pivotal role in the research and development for our client's next generation of equipment.
What you will be doing:
- Pull electrical permits, complete work to code, and communicate with electrical inspectors
- Create reports for new electrical installs, repairs, and upgrades
- Work with high voltage & high current equipment and associated control systems
- Design and implement circuit protection, power distribution modules, relays, sensors, and actuators.
- Work with inverters, motors, converters, and general electrical components such as contactors, relays, and batteries.
- Work with control systems such as PLC, DCS, etc.
- Create detailed wiring schematics and diagrams
- Mathematical calculations, problem-solving.
- General system troubleshooting Programming and trouble-shooting PLCs
- Arc flash training, calculations, oversight
- Welding, machining, fabricating work
- Microgrid design, development and oversight
- Oversee health and safety in the shop
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial electrician experience
- Valid BC electrical ticket and Red Seal
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Friendly disposition
- Works well with Engineering teams
Compensation: $95,000 -$110,000
Our client believes in pay equity, fairness and transparency, and their ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The actual compensation offered to the final candidate is based on the rates shown, and will vary depending on the candidate's relative experience, qualifications, and anticipated level of performance.

This is a full time, on-site role.
