Duties

Must have Caseware knowledge.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with account reconciliation and analysis

- Prepare financial reports and statements

- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

- Conduct bank reconciliations

- Process payroll and maintain employee records

- Support the month-end and year-end close processes

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data

- Utilize accounting software such as Caseware, QuickBooks, etc.

- Maintain confidentiality of financial information

Skills

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in using accounting software such as Caseware, QuickBooks etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
