Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills. This role involves providing personalized instruction in various subjects, with a focus on fostering confidence and academic success. The Tutor will work closely with students to identify their needs and develop effective learning strategies in a supportive environment.

Duties

  • Provide group tutoring sessions in subjects such as Math and Chemistry up to grade 12
  • Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding complex concepts.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure improvement.
  • Support students with special education needs by applying appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere to motivate students and build confidence.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Math and Chemistry or related subjects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, including those requiring special education support.
  • Passion for education and helping students succeed in their academic pursuits.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
