The Opportunity

As a Property Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our company. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment and is eager to take ownership of their work while continuing to develop professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R)
  • Perform data entry with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Prepare and complete account reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Support the development of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Collaborate with property management staff to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Provide ad hoc accounting support as needed in a growing organization

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting role (property management experience preferred)
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Progress toward a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) considered an asset
  • Experience with Yardi ERP software is highly beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Work, Outlook and other standard office software
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
