Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Policy Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills and a passion for research, enabling them to assess and develop policies that impact our organization and the communities we serve. This role requires proficiency in various analytical tools and methodologies to support evidence-based decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research on policy issues, trends, and implications.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data using statistical software such as R, SQL, Stata, SAS, SPSS, and Python.
  • Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to visualize data and support policy recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop policy proposals based on data-driven insights.
  • Monitor and evaluate existing policies to assess their effectiveness and suggest improvements.
  • Stay informed about legislative changes and emerging issues relevant to policy areas.

Experience

  • A degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in data collection and analysis within a policy context.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and experience using software tools like Stata, SAS, or SPSS for data analysis.
  • Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,224.26-$83,199.80 per year
