Lightmatter is (re)inventing the future of computing with light

You will be responsible for general and specific accounting tasks, with an emphasis on processing accounts payable and vendor communications. This role requires an in-depth understanding of procurement and AP processes. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform steps to process vendor invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Review/input vendor setup, including bank information, and tax documents.
  • Support vendor communications such as responding to basic inquiries.
  • Learn and contribute to monthly accounting tasks such as bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
  • Work with procurement to request POs for invoices that don't have one already.
  • Resolve discrepancies between POs, invoices, and receipts.
  • Assist with Month End Close procedures including preparing accruals.
  • Support finance and accounting projects as needed.
  • Perform ad hoc projects in accounting as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2 years of industry experience in accounts payable
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.), Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
  • Experience with Zip, , Coupa, or similar procurement platforms
  • Self starter, work autonomously while also contributing as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Netsuite
  • Working in a manufacturing environment 

We offer competitive compensation. The base salary range for this role determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.

Salary Range: total compensation goes beyond base salary, it also includes a new hire equity grant, annual performance-based equity, and other rewards that recognize your impact and contribution.
