Overview:

  • The Developer will design and optimize data models supporting analytics and UI consumption for the GIB Dashboard and Dynamic Client Call List. This role requires deep expertise in SQL performance tuning, ETL pipelines, and data modeling for high-performance, user-facing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and optimize data models for analytics and UI-driven applications.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate, transform, and cleanse data from multiple systems.
  • Implement rule-based transformations to apply complex business logic across datasets such as CRM interactions, trades, and research activity.
  • Tune SQL queries and caching strategies to achieve sub-second performance for large datasets.
  • Leverage MemSQL (preferred) or equivalent distributed SQL technologies for real-time query optimization.
  • Structure data to support drilldowns, scoring logic, and entitlement-based filtering.
  • Handle financial data, including multi-currency and FX conversion logic.
  • Collaborate with backend and front-end teams to ensure data delivery supports responsive, high-precision user interfaces.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of hands-on SQL experience, including query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Experience with SQL caching and distributed query engines (MemSQL preferred).
  • 4+ years of ETL development and data pipeline management.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and business rule implementation.
  • Experience working with financial datasets and real-time analytics environments.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 10 months

Pay: $25.21-$62.19 per hour

Expected hours: 7.25 per week
