Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter/Designer to join our team in Canada. This role is vital in translating project requirements into precise technical drawings and designs that support our manufacturing processes. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects within the metal fabrication industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed CAD drawings and designs using AutoCAD, Draftsight, Fusion and other relevant software.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
  • Prepare schematics and technical documentation for manufacturing processes.
  • Modify and update existing drawings based on project changes or client feedback.
  • Assist in the creation of 2D and 3D layouts and animations as needed.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Support project teams during fabrication and assembly phases by providing technical guidance.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Fusion, Draftsight or SolidWorks.
  • Strong mechanical design and drafting skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of construction processes is a plus.
  • Experience in the metal fabrication or manufacturing industry is preferred.
