Title: SAP IS-U FICA Lead

Location: Remote, Canada

Can we please get some good profiles for ISU FICA

SAP/industry certifications (SAP IS U, Finance, S/4HANA Utilities) are not mandatory but advantageous. Client-facing experience preferred; basic ABAP/debugging skills are an advantage.

  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years in SAP S/4HANA IS-U FICA with hands-on involvement in full project lifecycle -planning, blueprinting, realization, data migration, integration, testing, and go-live.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of utility sector processes and regulatory requirements, Preferred Canadian Utilities market experience.
  • Communication: Excellent ability to explain complex concepts clearly, adapt to different situations, and think proactively.
  • FICA Expertise with hands-on configuration and design experience in the following areas:

o Dunning (BRF+), Installment plans, Payments, Security deposits, Write-offs, postings, Balance transfers.

o Organizational structure, GL setup & integration, tax setup, reconciliation key transfer and main/sub transactions.

o Cash Desk, clearing control, account assignment, payment transactions.

o Dunning with BRFPLUS, security deposit, write-offs, installment plans.

o Key FICA FQEVENTS and workflow understanding

  • Strong experience in IS-U FICA Data migration objects: Open items/ARs, Account balances, Installment plans, write-off, SD reconciliation, reports etc.
  • Integration: Experience integrating IS-U with other SAP modules (Billing, DM, CX, FICO) and external integrations to banks
  • Strong experience meter-to-cash process, and AMI offerings in SAP IS-U.
  • Billing: Ability to analyze and resolve billing/invoicing issues.
  • Front-End SAP Service Cloud, SEW - process understanding front-end CRM or digital applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support SAP IS-U FICA S/4 Greenfield implementation
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into clear functional specifications.
  • Prepare functional designs for WRICEF objects; collaborate with ABAP, integration, testing, data migration, and change management teams.
  • Develop process documentation, test scenarios, training materials, and deliver end-user training sessions.
  • Train the End-users, Internal functional and test teams on FICA processes and test data support
  • Support UAT execution
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and ensure effective stakeholder communication.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including preparing proposals and responses for RFPs/RFIs.
  • Support value creation for practice growth via asset developments for future client needs.
  • Stay open to learning and exploring other areas within the Utilities domain.
