Join Our Team

We are seeking a Program Coordinator, Inclusive Stem Afterschool Program to engage with local newcomer students in Junior High School to create interest in STEM activities, support ESL learning and foster a deeper understanding of STEM subjects. The coordinator will b responsible for organizing and facilitating hands on learning opportunities that include visits to Memorial University St. John's Camps to collaborate in STEM activities and events. This is a remote/hybrid contract position based out of St. John's at the Ches Penney Family YMCA with an expected end date of May 31, 2026.

Job Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in Education, Social Work, Social Sciences or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum thee years of relevant experience in a lead role
  • Experience working with community partners in a development role
  • Experience working with newcomers in a community setting
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Standard First Aid and CPR
  • Acceptable Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sectors Check
