Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. This position requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily operations.

Duties

  • Operate forklifts and clamp trucks safely and efficiently to move products within the warehouse.
  • Perform order picking tasks accurately using a warehouse management system.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow.
  • Utilize basic math skills for inventory counting and order verification.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 -10 years of driving.
  • Experience with counterbalance vehicle (propane gas) only.
  • The ability to navigate tight warehouse spaces, narrow aisles. This includes executing precise turns, controlled stops, and delicate pallet/ equipment placements.
  • Can efficiently handle various types of loads, including unevenly distributed or delicate materials. This requires understanding the forklift's load capacity and center of gravity to prevent tip-overs.
  • Operator performs and documents daily pre-shift inspections, identifying potential mechanical issues with brakes, tires, and fluids.
  • A high-level operator in a safety-first mindset and is constantly aware of their surroundings, including nearby pedestrians, debris, and other obstacles.
  • Shows ability to communicate with coworkers and managers, and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Highlight teamwork experience working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving, Include the ability to troubleshoot issues with equipment or operations.
  • Time management, show's efficiency and the ability to manage time effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
