Purpose of Role: The Branch Manager will be responsible to lead and develop a dynamic sales team covering both our aftermarket and capital business and is responsible for meeting sales budget targets and delivering on strategic initiatives. The Branch Manager will work aligned with Weir Group Values to partner with all business functions such as; Executive Management, Service, Operations, Engineering, Product & Project Management to align and implement strategies that will position Weir Minerals Canada to grow our aftermarket and capital business in the assigned territory for all of our product technologies and services. This position involves up to 25% travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Sales Goals:  Develop, implement, and execute a strategic sales plan to drive new units, spares, and service results to all customers in the area
  • Customer Support: Strategically partner with our customers to come up with innovative value added solutions to make our customers more successful and conduct high level sales presentations for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Team Management: Manage and support a dynamic sales team by providing strategies and solutions to each of the key area accounts and help them to identify and close new business opportunities for all product technologies & services within the area
  • Sales Reporting and Updates:  Provide input on general strategy and business as an active member of the Hard Rock Mining Leadership table and thoroughly complete annual budgets, as well as regular forecasts
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
  • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering) or Technical Diploma
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales and/or sales management of engineered pumping equipment and packaged solutions, or other engineered industrial equipment used in the Oil & Gas, Minerals or related severe duty market segments
  • P. Eng or Certified Engineering Technologist designation would be considered an asset.
