Reporting to the Manager of Financial Controls, the Reconciliation Officer (Officer) operates within a high-volume, complex financial environment, where the incumbent is responsible for reconciling fifteen government bank accounts that collectively process hundreds of thousands of transactions exceeding $750 million annually. In addition to preparing these reconciliations, the officer reviews and validates thirty-five bank accounts managed by other departments, reconciles payroll liability accounts, and ensures the accuracy of thirty-five general ledger accounts each month.

This position plays a critical role in detecting and preventing fraud and errors by maintaining accounting processes and internal controls. The Officer collaborates with financial staff across all government departments and agencies to ensure timely collection and verification of financial information.
