Physiotherapist Full-time or Part -Time

Job Summary:

Nation Health Centre is currently looking for a part-time or full-time Physiotherapist for the provision of physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and care to patients residing in the Nation community and surrounding areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • As a member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering physiotherapy services to clients including:

  • Initiating and managing the assessment and treatment for restoring movement/function and pain management;

  • Developing personalized exercise programs to develop and restore range of motion, strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance;

  • Administering electrotherapy, prescribing and educating clients utilization of mobility aids, assistive devices and other equipment;

  • Care coordination and collaboration with other professionals;

  • Client care planning, charting, care conferences, discharge, and transition planning;

  • Overseeing and coordinating the roles and functions of Physiotherapy Support Personnel, in conjunction with the broader care team;

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy;

  • Registration with College of Physiotherapy of Ontario;

  • CPR certification;

  • ADP certified or willingness to become certified preferred;

  • Strong physical assessment & treatment planning skills;

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;

  • Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively as a member of a team;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;

  • A commitment to best practices, quality, and client-centered care;

  • 2-3 years clinical practice experience preferred;

  • Experience with neuro and vestibular rehabilitation an asset; 

  • Bilingual (French and English) considered an asset
