The candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing analyses using instrumental techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-VIS and other instrumental techniques.
- Performing analyses using bench chemical techniques such as TLC, titrimetry and gravimetry.
- Maintaining accurate, real-time records of all laboratory activities.
- Performing required calculations, by hand or with use of spreadsheets or validated computer systems.
- Completing paperwork and updating computerized systems to report the analytical results from the analysis of stability stations.
- Ensuring appropriate tracking and logging of stability samples.
- Identifying test results which are out of specification and alerting a manager or supervisor when this occurs.
- Adhering to BIOVECTRA's Health and Safety Policy.
- Performing additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor's request.
The successful candidate for this position should have:
Required:
- Post secondary education in a scientific discipline
- One year of relevant laboratory experience
Desired:
- Bachelor of Science (Chemistry)
- Technical proficiency with laboratory instrumentation such as GC, HPLC, UV-VIS
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cGMP guidelines
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $ $47.10/hr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
