Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and the ability to upsell menu items effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
  • Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials, to assist guests in their choices.
  • Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper food handling practices.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Sanitate tables and dining areas between guests to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely preparation of orders.
  • Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a well-organized work area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and readily available.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or similar customer service role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests positively.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A team player with a positive attitude who can work collaboratively with kitchen staff and fellow servers.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required by the role.
