Royal Machine Solutions is seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Millwright Apprentice to join our growing team. We design, build, and install custom conveyors, industrial equipment, and mechanical systems for customers across multiple industries.

This is an excellent opportunity to build your skills alongside experienced tradespeople, gain hands-on field experience, and develop into a fully licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) while contributing to exciting, real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, service, and repair of conveyors and industrial machinery at customer sites.
  • Support senior millwrights and team leads on projects — including equipment setup, alignment, and troubleshooting.
  • Learn how to read and interpret drawings, CAD layouts, and mechanical schematics.
  • Help ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, and support basic machining or fabrication tasks as required.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors on project status and needs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives across projects.

Standard hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime available.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Registered as a Millwright Apprentice (433A),
  • Schooling portion of apprenticeship completed, preferably.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn installation, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and quality.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy (email, Word, Excel); interest in learning CAD or Fusion 360 is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Assets (Not Required but an Advantage)

  • Basic knowledge of welding, machining, or fabrication.
  • Experience with rigging, precision alignment, or equipment layout.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
  • Interest in progressing toward leadership or site coordination roles as you grow.

Pay: $29.89-$34.95 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
