We are a full-service supplier of fertilizer, pest management products, including biologicals and bees, seeds and other consumable goods to the greenhouse, nursery and specialty horticulture industries in Canada and the USA.
We are looking to fill a vacancy of a Shipper/Receiver to our team within our Ancaster location. If you're a team player with a strong work ethic, a self-starter and passionate about making a difference, the you are exactly who we are looking for
Role and Responsibilities:
- Complete proper shipping docs, ie: Bill of Lading
- Compile and double check shipments
- Place incoming stock in designated storage areas daily
- General housekeeping
- Bring documentation from warehouse into office
- Main contact for compiling goods for walk-in customers
- Load/unload Plant Products trucks
- Receive incoming goods
- Property maintenance (keep Plant Products property clean and organized)
- Observe and promote compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
- Ensure that all goods leaving Plant Products have been properly billed
- Direct third-party truck traffic, and keep all traffic lanes clear.
- Ensure that no visitors can freely walk around facility. Visiting drivers should be restricted to waiting area by door or be able to access their truck trailer as needed.
- Any additional duties which may be required on a day-to-day basis
- Work in accordance with company Mission Statement, Employee Handbook and Company procedures
- Keep up to date with and conform to all corporate policies and procedures, specifically, but not limited to: Bio Shipping Procedures, Warehouse Procedure.
- Maintain a strict code of confidentiality concerning Plant Products business activities and all related affairs including but not limited to knowledge specific to Plant Products customers and their businesses
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with occasional overtime)
During the selection process, we may use AI tools to screen applicants and assist in evaluating candidate qualifications. All final hiring decisions are made by the hiring manager and recruitment team.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
