Company Overview:

Our Client, is a leading supplier of high-quality packaging products and equipment, specializing in PET strapping, stretch film, and tape, as well as advanced packaging machinery, including automatic strapping systems, automatic wrappers, carton erectors, and inkjet coding systems.

Position Overview:

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining

relationships with new and existing clients in the Ontario region. This is a dynamic, field-based

role where you will focus on selling both packaging products (PET strapping, stretch film, and

tape) and packaging equipment (automatic strapping machines, wrappers, carton erectors, and

inkjet coding systems). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packaging sales and a deep understanding of the needs of customers in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Development and Lead Generation:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Ontario territory.
  • Maintain and expand existing customer accounts.
  • Conduct regular visits to client sites to assess needs, provide product demonstrations, and discuss potential solutions.
  • Proactively generate leads through cold calling, networking, industry events, and
  • referrals.
Product & Equipment Knowledge:
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our product range, including PET strapping, stretch film, tape, and our automated packaging systems (automatic strapping, wrappers, carton erectors, inkjet coding systems).
  • Conduct product demonstrations and educate clients on how our solutions can improve their operational efficiency
Customer Solutions & Technical Support:
  • Consult with customers to understand their packaging needs and recommend
  • tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical advice on the optimal use of packaging materials and
  • machinery.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to ensure proper installation and support for
  • machinery.
Sales Strategy &Reporting:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Work with the sales manager to create sales custom sales plans.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to key decision-makers in client
  • organizations.
Negotiation & Closing:
  • Prepare and present accurate quotes and proposals.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to close sales effectively.
  • Work closely with the operations and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build long-term relationships with key clients to ensure repeat business and
  • referrals.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve any issues with products or equipment.
Qualifications:

Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in outside sales, preferably within the packaging industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling packaging products and/or packaging machinery (e.g., PET strapping, stretch film, automatic strapping equipment, etc.).
  • Familiarity with packaging processes and systems in manufacturing, logistics, and distribution industries.
Skills & Attributes:
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn about new products and equipment.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be based in Ontario, Canada, or willing to relocate.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
