Community Living North Perth is seeking to fill a Full-Time Behaviour Support Specialist position. This position will support all operational program at CLNP. This position will primarily work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional scheduled evening or weekend work required to meet program needs.

The start date is Immediately.

About You:

  • You have a passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with dual diagnosis and autism.
  • You excel in applying evidence-based principles, such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), to create and implement effective behavioural interventions.
  • You have education or clinical experience in Behaviour Analysis, Behavioural Science Technology, Psychology, Social Services, or a related field.
  • You have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • You thrive in a collaborative team environment and build strong relationships with individuals, families, and caregivers.
  • You are familiar with MCCSS compliance standards and have experience in developing and maintaining Individualized Support Plans (ISPs).
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification is an asset.
  • A valid G-Class driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
  • You can provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Up-to-date COVID vaccination, including at least two vaccinations and one booster.

You will:

  • Conduct behavioural assessments using standardized tools and develop individualized Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Design and implement ABA-based interventions to address challenging behaviours and promote skill development.
  • Collaborate with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams to set and achieve person-directed goals.
  • Train caregivers, families, and staff on behavioural strategies and interventions.
  • Monitor progress through data collection and adjust interventions as needed to ensure effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports in compliance with MCCSS standards.
  • Build strong relationships with community partners to enhance opportunities for individuals supported.
  • Advocate for inclusion, accessibility, and community participation for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Report to the Program Manager.
