The IT Specialist is responsible for the identification of IT activities necessary to support specific business, golf, retail and hospitality functions, prioritization of projects and overall program management of key IT activities. This position has overall responsibility for the IT function across several sites. Additionally, the IT Manager will bring major IT concerns before the Senior Leadership Team, including policy proposals, new initiatives and strategic plans.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing a continuous improvement process and approach to strategic planning and problem solving.
  • Responsible for strategic planning of ERP systems, business technologies, equipment, and vendor management.
  • Responsible for mitigation/minimization of risk around security, data and information, legal and financial compliance, business interruption, etc.
  • Ensure overall IT general controls as required by the Senior Leadership team.
  • Responsible for IT cost structure, with a view toward optimization and productivity/cost reduction.
  • Plan, develop and lead technology improvements, efficiencies, buy in and ensure proper roll out and training of IT initiatives.
  • Promote the development and implementation of tools to support, improve, and enhance users efficiency and work environment.
  • Work/communicate effectively with other functional areas of the company.
  • Prepare/Communicate developments, issues, actions with Company leadership as required.
  • IT Vendor negotiations.
  • Ensures that the ERP system is maintained and able to support future growth.
  • Develops, recommends and is accountable for annual goals and budgets for IT.
  • Supports all departments in planning, documenting, and implementing security or disaster recovery actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual fluency of English and Mandarin.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related degree is required. An advanced degree would be a plus.
  • At least 5 years of overall IT experience with a strong emphasis on technology and information systems required.
  • IT experience in a golf, retail, or hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Project management skills required. Familiarity with continuous improvement processes and data driven decision making a plus.
  • Project Management Professional certification a plus. Ability to lead projects to successful completion on time and within budget required.
  • Previous managerial experience required.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains ERP a plus.
  • Working knowledge of LightSpeed Golf or other Golf line-of-business applications
  • Working knowledge of LightSpeed Retail or other retail line-of-business applications
  • Understand and follow applicable Company practices, policies and procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
