POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence & Analytics team. Reporting to the Manager, this role is critical in uncovering patterns and driving value from company and industry data to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with business leaders and executive stakeholders, including Vice Presidents and the Chief of Operations to develop strategic insights, executive-level content, and business cases that support the organization's goals.

This role demands strong technical skills in Python and SQL, a solid understanding of data visualization and modeling, and the ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders.

MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE

Key accountabilities of this position include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations

  • Support operational planning, reporting, and performance tracking across the business

  • Develop and deliver executive-level content for business updates, risk assessments, and strategic initiatives

  • Drive business case development using advanced quantitative analysis

  • Lead or support data analytics projects and reporting for Pre-Funding and Post-Funding teams

  • Contribute to ongoing reporting automation and process improvements

  • Partner with operations to plan, monitor, and report on performance, initiatives, and projects

  • Create clear, concise, and impactful executive presentations

  • Conduct financial modeling and support development of business cases for major initiatives

  • Provide analytical support for project implementation and post-launch performance tracking

  • Lead or support data and analytics projects that inform strategic decision-making

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis

  • Proven experience creating executive-level presentations and content

  • Prior experience in consulting or working closely with senior leadership is an asset

  • Strong understanding of mortgage products and financial services is preferred

  • Advanced skills in quantitative analysis and financial modeling

  • Experience with data reporting, visualization tools, and automation

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise sound judgment

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

  • Collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach

  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
