Position Overview:We are seeking an HR Coordinator to assist our HR team with various tasks and projects. This unpaid volunteer role requires a commitment of 5-10 hours per week and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the animal welfare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment efforts, including posting opportunities and scheduling interviews.
  • Intake and triage HR inquiries from different teams to appropriate HR team members.
  • Organize training sessions, meetings, and HR events for volunteers.
  • Manage and update volunteer databases and HR records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Help draft HR policies and communication materials.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation programs to support new volunteers.
  • Collaborate with the other HR team members to improve HR processes and volunteer engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience or interest in HR, administration, or volunteer coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Working under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
  • Self-starter, ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment files at a time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and positive attitude.
  • Enthusiasm for animal welfare and working in a collaborative, volunteer-driven environment.
