Service Engineer

An international manufacturer of Injection Molding machine is seeking a Service Engineer in the GTA area to join their Canada team. An ideal candidates will have vital maintenance/Support experience with Injection Molding machines on customer sites. Due to the travel needs, a valid passport and driver's license with good driving record and access to vehicles are required. This is a direct-hire position and offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

Service Engineer Responsibilities Include:

  • Travel to customer locations to provide installations/repairs to Machine in service circulation in commercial and industrial settings
  • Assist with in-house maintenance services, such as modification and reassembly of equipment as needed
  • Train customer personnel on function and upkeep of equipment
  • Perform phone support duties in-office when not traveling
  • Communicate with engineering department to help customer inquiries
  • Be on call for emergency maintenance needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Service Engineer Qualifications Include:

  • A higher degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred, or 7+ years of equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Injection molding machine maintenance and installation experience
  • Valid passport, driver's license, and clean driving record are required
  • Must have own vehicle
  • Willing and available for up to 75% travel to customer locations
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, industrial machine tools, and various mechanical and electrical components
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • This position includes work in a manufacturing and warehousing environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
