Role Description

We are currently seeking a designated CPA (or a candidate in the final year of the CPA program) for a full-time, on-site position at either our Port Coquitlam or Surrey office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of public practice experience, with demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation, tax planning, and general accounting advisory services. This role requires a client-focused approach and the ability to manage a broad portfolio of both personal and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support compilation, review, audit, and tax engagements
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Prepare corporate and personal tax returns, as well as other required information returns
  • Communicate with clients and tax authorities in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members
  • Perform complex reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial records
  • Stay current with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry best practices

Qualifications

  • Canadian CPA designation, or currently enrolled in the final year of the CPA program
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a public accounting firm
  • Strong technical knowledge in finance, accounting, and tax
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
