About Knight & Rose Café

Knight & Rose Café is a premium lounge-style café located in the heart of Streetsville. Known for its warm service, high-quality beverages, and elegant atmosphere, we aim to provide each guest with an exceptional experience.

We are seeking a reliable and professional Server who can confidently handle the café independently during their shift.

Position Summary

The Server is responsible for all front-of-house duties, including customer service, beverage preparation, cleanliness, and overall shift management. This role requires confidence, strong organization, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet guests professionally and create a welcoming environment
  • Take orders accurately using the POS system
  • Serve beverages and light menu items promptly
  • Answer menu questions and make recommendations
  • Handle customer concerns politely and appropriately
  • Ensure entire lounge is always clean and presentable
  • Manage & Update inventory as needed.

Beverage Preparation

  • Prepare coffees, teas, specialty drinks, and basic mocktails (training provided)
  • Follow drink presentation standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized preparation station

Shift Operations

  • Open or close the café based on assigned shift
  • Maintain cleanliness of all guest areas, counters, and washroom
  • Restock supplies including cups, syrups, ingredients, napkins, and packaging
  • Handle cash, card transactions, and end-of-day reconciliation accurately

Independent Management

  • Work independently and manage all tasks without supervision
  • Stay organized and prioritize duties during busy times
  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor
  • Report supply needs, incidents, or issues to management promptly

Health & Safety

  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ensure the café remains clean, safe, and compliant throughout the shift

Qualifications

  • Previous café, serving, or customer service experience is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized
  • Comfortable working independently for the full shift
  • Reliable, punctual, and consistent
  • Able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks
