Job Overview
As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and care of animals in our facility. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for our furry clients. You will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the overall health and happiness of the animals in our care.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and cats.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the management team.
- Assist with customer service duties, including greeting pet owners and answering questions about services.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, such as moving supplies or assisting with larger animals.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of both animals and staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or customer service is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train enthusiastic candidates.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with animal care.
- A passion for working with animals and providing exceptional service to pet owners.
