About The Role:

Be part of one of the best parts of the season, Greenland Garden Centre's Outdoor Christmas Lights Display. We're looking for part-time reliable, outgoing individuals to help welcome visitors, collect admissions, and keep things running smoothly.

This is a temporary seasonal position that runs from November 1st to December 23rd, 2025. This role is fully outdoors, so it's perfect for someone who doesn't mind bundling up, staying active, engaging with customers and working alongside a great team. Every shift offers something a little different, from greeting families to helping keep the lights area safe and organized.

What You'll Do:

  • Collect Admissions: Greet guests as they arrive and collect admissionswhich go toward a local cause. Handle both cash and electronic payments and keep transactions organized.
  • Sell Merchandise: Assist with selling light-up memorabilia, and other fun merchandise for customers of all ages.
  • Engage with Visitors: Be approachable, polite, upbeat, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Help Keep Things Running Smoothly: During slower moments, assist with light outdoor duties such as shoveling snow or collecting garbage to keep the display area safe and tidy.
  • Work Outdoors – Be Prepared:
  • This is an outdoor role, and you'll be out in the elements every shift.
  • A Greenland toque and reflective vest are provided.
  • You'll need your own warm coat, mittens, boots, and layers.
  • Shifts may be cancelled in extreme weather, with notice.
  • Provide Friendly Customer Service: You'll be part of what makes this community event memorable. Deliver the level of friendly, dependable service that Greenland is known for with every visitor you meet.

Shift Details:

  • Weekdays: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Weekends: 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
  • 3–4 shifts per week
