YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Production Geology Supervisor, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Underground beat coverage: Provide muck calls and final stockpile destination to the underground operations.
  • Update Deswik, Ore trackers, Muck database, HG stockpiles.
  • Produce and communicate the Daily Production Report.
  • Underground chip sampling and chip sample data management.
  • Prepare and produce detailed geological maps of ore drives and waste headings.
  • Muck sample management.
  • Stockpile housekeeping.
  • Perform Diamond Drill inspections and ensure tracking and follow-up of non-compliant items.
  • Perform all tasks listed above in an "health and safety first" spirit by ensuring that all work procedures are respected and any irregularity addressed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Geology Technician Certificate or Diploma required;
  • 1 year of experience in an underground mining environment;
  • Hold a Valid Driver's License (class 5);
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
