Traffic Pro Services (TPS) has been doing business since 2012 and is looking for an experienced Dispatcher who
will work closely with the ownership and management team. This position works in our Burnaby office and
reports directly to the General Manager – Lower Mainland. The Dispatch areas covered are the Lower
Mainland and Vancouver Island.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Daily scheduling of all TCPs and LCTs.
Ensure that service is completed in accordance with IBEW Local 258 established union seniority
policies.
Dispatch calls to routes based upon designated route and driver location.
Perform field staff check-ins at day's beginning to ensure nobody is late to work or no show.
Ensure operational coordination with other departments.
Interacts and communicates with customers and subcontractors via email and or telephone.
Troubleshoot and resolve potential problems before they result in customer complaints.
Assist in determining daily dispatch and provide the best mix of worker experience, equipment
capability, and customer requirements.
Record and document information from staff and customers and distribute to appropriate internal
departments.
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally via email, text and telephone.
Assist hiring when needed.
Site supervision and field checks as required by Management.
Assist with quoting of new projects.
Administrative activities as needed or assigned.
Qualifications:
1 year of Traffic Control Experience/ Knowledge
Minimum 1 year of Dispatch Experience (Traffic Control Preferred)
Valid drivers license
Reliable vehicle
Positive attitude
Strong work ethic
Professional demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer focus.
Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks.
Advanced skill level with software applications and word processing accuracy including adequate
typing speed.
Required to work extended hours including occasional weekends from time to time.
Minimum college diploma in related disciplines is an asset.
Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
An understanding of WCB safety policies as they relate to traffic control.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,080.00-$58,240.00 per year
