**Software Developer (12 Month Contract)

The organization is seeking to engage a contracted resource to enhance an existing PowerApp,
Strategic-Template
, and provide ongoing support for Power Platform development, including those connected to the CRM system. This initiative aligns with the organization's broader digital transformation goals, focusing on improved IT service transparency, strategic storytelling, and operational efficiency.

  • Objectives
  • Refactor and enhance the Strategic-Template Power App to improve usability, performance, and alignment with strategic planning frameworks.
  • Ensure the app is fully integrated and optimized within the managed Power Platform environments (Dev, TST, Staging, Production).
  • Support additional Power Apps development initiatives currently in the backlog queue.
  • Provide technical guidance and documentation to support long-term maintainability.
  • Scope of Work

The Contracted Resource Will

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather enhancement requirements.
  • Conduct a technical and functional assessment of the current Strategic-Template Power App.

  • Implement improvements based on stakeholder requirements and best practices, including but not limited to:

  • UI/UX refinements

  • Performance optimization
  • Integration with other Microsoft 365 tools as requested (e.g., SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI)

  • Role-based access and state management

  • Utilize pipelines to deploy the app to the appropriate production environment.

  • Support additional Power Platform projects as prioritized by the Technology and Digital Services (TDS) team.
  • Document all changes and create training materials for internal use.
  • Deliverables
  • Updated Strategic-Template Power App deployed in production via DevOps pipelines, incorporating stakeholder requirements.
  • Comprehensive technical design and support documentation.
  • End-user guides for the updated application.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Contracted Resource: Lead development, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • TDS Team: Provide environment access, facilitate stakeholder meetings, and support testing and deployment.
  • Project Oversight: Strategic direction and approvals provided by designated project leadership.

Note; this is an opportunity with a Microserve client.

  • Full-time availability of the contracted resource.
  • Onsite preferred; hybrid arrangements may be discussed.
  • Experience with Power BI, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365 is highly desirable.
