NOW HIRING: Collision Damage Appraiser

LOCATION: Centennial Collision Centre Saint John, Saint John, NB

HOURS: Full time, Permanent - Mon to Fri, 40 hours per week. 

WAGES: $45,000 - $60,000 salary per year + commissions and benefits (negotiable based on experience)

APPLICABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and computer skills
  • Possess technical knowledge of auto body collision and mechanical repairs
  • Extremely strong customer service and phone skills required
  • Applicant must be organized, capable of multitasking, prioritizing, working independently, and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Must be reliable and show initiative
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Thorough knowledge of Mitchell and Audatex electronic imaging/estimating systems is considered a strong asset but not necessary.
  • Previous automotive appraiser experience is not necessary but considered a strong asset. Additional training will be provided.

MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Disassemble and inspect vehicles for collision damage and determining repair needs.
  • Creating detailed appraisals with accurate repair cost estimates.
  • Reviewing repair invoices and ensuring they align with estimates.
  • Submitting supplement requests to insurance companies for approval, including photos, service invoices, parts invoices, and supplement estimates.
  • Communicating with technicians throughout the repair process.
  • Negotiating and maintaining good working relationships with insurance companies and adjusters.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and guidelines.
  • Providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries.
  • Maintaining accurate records of assessments and estimates.
