Overview

I am seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist for a part-time podiatry practice.. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and familiarity with medical office procedures. Prior experience with office management systems is highly preferred.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Manage phone system to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
  • Verify patient information and update patient information accurately
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting payments
  • Maintain organized front desk operations, including filing and data entry
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day
  • Cleaning and preparing treatment rooms before placing patients in treatment rooms
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Cleaning and sterilization of instruments
  • Keeping treatment rooms supplies filled as necessary

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Medical Office Receptionist is highly desirable

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Experience working with front desk operations
  • Office experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision while maintaining professionalism at all times
