Experienced Expeditor

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that orders are prepared and delivered efficiently, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to enhance the overall dining experience for our guests.

Duties

• Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order modifications, special requests, and timing for food preparation.
• Monitor food quality and presentation before it leaves the kitchen, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist in food preparation as needed, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes.
• Support bussing and serving duties during peak hours to maintain efficient service levels.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless communication between the kitchen and dining area.
• Uphold food safety regulations and best practices in all aspects of food handling and preparation.

Skills

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is required, with a focus on kitchen operations.
• Familiarity with culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and banquet service is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills, with a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration among team members.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
