What is the opportunity?
As an Associate, you provide proactive sales support and responsive value-based client contact for a team of Financial Planners. You are responsible for supporting the unit/team in achieving sales objectives by contributing to a differentiated client experience. In this role, you collaborate with partners across the organization to identify and meet client needs and goals, strengthening client relationships and making it easier for them to do business with RBC.
What will you do?
- Provide consistent sales support to client requests, act as a point of contact for client problems, and ensure accuracy of documentation with follow-ups, as required
- Maximize opportunities to effectively identify client needs, make referrals, expand profitable client relationships, and track and review progress against the teams' annual sales plan
- Increase sales enablement for Financial Planners by assisting with preparations for client meetings, and supporting the fulfilment of credit, investments, and everyday banking solutions
- Exercise due diligence in following all policies and procedures, and identity/correct areas of operational risk
- Working from home remotely
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Mutual Funds accreditation (e.g., Investment Funds in Canada, or the Canadian Securities Course)
- Demonstrated passion for putting clients first, as well as success in a hands-on, target-driven sales environment
- Excellent telephone manner, IT literacy, and digital knowledge, as well as multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong personal ethics, and a hunger for success
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, demonstrating strong collaboration skills
- Working remotely from home
Nice-to-have
- Track record in building rapport and maintaining client relationships within the financial industry
- Previous experience in personal lending, investments and general banking, would be an asset
- Proficiency in secondary languages is an asset
