This strategic leadership role is part of a diverse, multi-disciplinary group responsible for the planning, design, and life cycle management of architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems. The team oversees more than 100 staffed facilities and over 1,000 unstaffed sites across the country, including air traffic control centers, air traffic control towers, flight service stations, flight information centers, office spaces, and a wide network of facilities supporting flight navigation, aircraft communication, and surveillance.

The incumbent will serve as an engineering authority, with a focus on mission-critical facility infrastructure including but not limited to; buildings, civil site services, power transmission and distribution (including backup power systems such as generators and uninterruptible power supply systems), HVAC, building automation, plumbing, drainage, and telecommunications infrastructure. The role also contributes to the adoption of green energy technologies and the implementation of sustainable design practices that support NAV CANADA's environmental and operational objectives.
