Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Countertop Laser Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating Granite laser cutting machines and will be responsible for producing high-quality components while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Operate laser cutting machines to fabricate parts according to specifications.
  • Assemble components and ensure proper alignment and fit.
  • Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations during the fabrication process.
  • Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Use hand tools and machinery, including plasma cutting equipment, milling machines, and cranes, as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and perform basic maintenance as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and workflow.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Laser Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with countertops and the ability to measure them using the laser
  • Familiarity with operating a CNC machine specific in cutting countertops/granite or other similar fields
  • Familiarity with machining processes
  • Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and machinery effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
