Are you an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Do you excel at problem-solving, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance across multiple entities? If so, we'd love to hear from you
We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our shared Finance team, supporting both Canadian and U.S. business operations. In this role, you'll be a key partner in driving accurate financial reporting, improving processes, and enabling better decision-making across the organization.
What You'll Do:
- General Accounting: Manage and oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing. Monitor cash flow, prepare weekly AR reviews, and process vendor payments.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and analyze financial statements, conduct P&L reviews, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end closing process, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Payroll Management: Process semi-monthly payroll, remit payroll taxes, and collaborate with the People & Culture team on payroll updates.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process, providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Audit & Tax Compliance: Prepare working papers for audits, manage tax filings, and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Process Improvement & Coaching: Assess internal controls, recommend improvements, and mentor junior accounting staff.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance.
- Experience with multi-entity operations across various countries is a plus.
- Nice to have: Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor, Sage 50) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Why You'll Love Working Here:
Remote-first work – Enjoy flexibility with a mix of in-office (10%) and remote work (90%).
Impactful Role – Play a key role in shaping our financial operations and success.
Growth Opportunities – Broader experience and skill development beyond your core role.
If you're ready to take the next step in your career with a company that values excellence and collaboration, apply now and join our growing Finance team
