Job Description

This position will be responsible for assisting multiple projects in the support and maintenance of technology solutions in the areas of Operational Technology (OT) including networking, servers, virtualization, and security technologies. The candidate has thorough Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, networking and cybersecurity concepts.

This is not an information technology (IT) position.

Responsible for this role include:

  • Provide strategic operational technology (OT) guidance and expertise for critical infrastructure projects.
  • Design and implement secure OT solutions—including network architecture, virtualization, redundancy, and cybersecurity design.
  • Install, configure, and maintain OT networks, servers, firewalls, and cybersecurity tools to ensure reliable and secure operations.
  • Troubleshoot complex OT network issues and perform system testing, commissioning, and validation in both lab and field environments.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation—including network diagrams, architecture drawings, as-built records, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support construction and procurement activities, reviewing designs, installations, equipment submittals, and vendor work to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and vendors to meet project goals for quality, budget, and schedule, including on-site support during implementation.
  • Serve as a cybersecurity consultant in the OT space, ensuring compliance with security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Conduct ICS cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and support continuous improvement in OT security posture.
  • Mentor junior staff, contribute to business development, and maintain strong client relationships to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • 8 years of OT experience with Microsoft Windows Server design and administration, virtualization and converged platform technology design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • 5 years of OT experience with LAN and WAN design, implementation and troubleshooting for switches, routers, firewalls and various other network equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of Microsoft based systems experience.
  • 5-10 years industrial network experience
  • BS in Computer Science or a similar field
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven experience preparing technical design documentation and reports.
  • Proficient in network analysis and penetration testing tools such as NMAP, Wireshark, Metasploit, Rapid7 Nexpose, or BackTrack.
  • Professional certifications such as GICSP, GPEN, GRID, CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CISA, or equivalent are highly valued.
