Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and construction, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves installing various types of flooring materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas according to project specifications.
  • Install a variety of flooring types including hardwood, laminate, tile, and vinyl.
  • Lay tiles with precision, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to determine layout and installation requirements.
  • Perform carpentry tasks related to flooring installation, such as trimming and molding work.
  • Apply caulking and sealants as necessary to ensure durability and finish quality.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing basic repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure timely completion of projects.

Skills

  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in flooring installation.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
  • Experience in flooring installation techniques, including tile laying.
  • Ability to read blueprints accurately for effective project execution.
  • Carpentry skills for related tasks such as trim work or subfloor adjustments.
  • Knowledge of caulking methods for sealing edges and joints effectively.
