Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Countertop Template Technician to join our team. The Countertop Template Technician will be responsible for accurately measuring and templating countertops at customer sites, ensuring precise dimensions for fabrication and installation. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in countertop templating or a similar field, with strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites to perform countertop templating using laser templating equipment and traditional methods.
  • Accurately measure countertops, taking into account dimensions, angles, and other specifications for fabrication.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their requirements and address any concerns regarding the templating process.
  • Maintain organized records of measurements, templates, and customer specifications for reference during fabrication and installation.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure that templating requirements are met and that any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while working at customer sites and handling equipment.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in the templating process.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of measurement techniques and tools.
  • Familiarity with laser templating equipment and digital templating software is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues during the templating process.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to work.
