W Venture helps women-led companies scale with clarity, strategy, and community. We work with founders across British Columbia who are building ambitious, high-growth ventures and give them the tools, mentorship, and visibility to lead with confidence.

Our programs include Growth and Strategy Sprints, each designed to support women founders through the stages of scaling. From investor readiness, growth strategy, sales development, and even media training, W Venture helps founders not just build companies but grow as leaders.

The Role

The Program Manager is the connector, organizer, and energy at the heart of our programs and community. This role supports program management, Slack and community engagement, marketing and events, and fundraising and partner activities alongside the Managing Partners.

We're looking for a go-getter, someone energized by supporting women, building community, and shaping the next generation of standout Canadian startups. This is a high impact role, and requires commitment and focus. We love side hustles too, but need you to be 100% team W Venture.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver W Venture programs (Growth, Momentum, and Visibility Sprint), including virtual and in-person sessions.
  • Manage logistics, scheduling, and communications with founders, mentors, and speakers.
  • Track deliverables, participation, and outcomes for reporting to funders
  • Support founder onboarding and maintain updated databases, contact lists, and materials.
  • Ensure every founder's experience is seamless, supported, and impactful.

Community & Slack Management

  • Manage the W Venture Slack workspace to keep founders connected and supported.
  • Share updates, prompts, and opportunities that encourage engagement.
  • Support peer-to-peer connections and foster a sense of belonging and momentum.

Marketing & Communications

  • Lead and collaborate with Managing Partners, contractors on campaigns, newsletters, and storytelling.
  • Support founder features, testimonials, and social content highlighting venture milestones.
  • Coordinate media and visibility assets (photography, video, PR).

Event Coordination

  • Plan and execution of events including Long Table Dinners, Visibility Sprint Nights, Strategy Sprint and cohort showcases.
  • Handle logistics such as venues, catering, guest lists, and partner coordination.
  • Provide hands-on event support and manage follow-up communications.

Fundraising & Partner Support

  • Assist with partner communications, grant deliverables, and sponsorship outreach.
  • Collect success stories and data for reports and funding proposals.
  • Support and develop new partnership opportunities aligned with W Venture's mission.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in program or community management, ideally in entrepreneurship, innovation, or women-focused organizations.
  • Huge asset: experience working with startups and/or the startup ecosystem.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail, and you thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with Slack, Google Workspace, Canva, Squarespace, Mailchimp (or similar tools).
  • Must be familiar with spreadsheets and managing budgets
  • Event planning and coordination experience.
  • A proactive, creative, and collaborative mindset.
  • Most importantly - a deep belief in the potential of women entrepreneurs and the power of community to drive growth.
