Position:

Coupe Beverages is a full scale beverage manufacturer, distributor, and wholesaler, producing alcoholic and non-alcoholic products across all categories of beverage.

Coupe is looking for an accountant to support our growing team, including AP, AR, payroll, and other accounting functions. The accountant will report directly to the President and will be assisted by our external bookkeepers and tax accountants. This is an in-office, full-time, employee role only.

We are targeting a smart, self starting individual who has the potential to grow within the business. Ideal candidates will be strong in both day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping, as well as building processes and automations to help the company grow efficiently. As the first accounting hire, this role is perfect for a qualified accountant looking to manage all aspects of accounting in a business. Significant opportunity exists to build a team as the company grows.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accuracy and inventory balances per company policies.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules.
  • Assist in annual income tax and other regulatory filings.
  • Payroll processing.
  • Conduct internal controls assessments and risk reviews.
  • Support system implementations and process improvements.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and prioritise effectively.
  • Experience with QuickBooks.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Accounting degree or similar post secondary qualification.

Nice to have:

  • CPA designation or other finance and accounting designation
  • Experience with an inventory-based company

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
