We pride ourselves on offering high-quality products, reliable service, and quick turnaround times. We are currently seeking an experienced and bilingual (English/French) Outside Sales Representative to help expand our customer base and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and developers in our region.
Position Overview:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you'll be the face of Portes Express on the road. Your role is to visit job sites, contractors, and builders, understand their needs, and offer the right door and trim solutions. You'll manage your territory independently while working closely with our office and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, and renovation companies.
- Prospect new clients and grow sales within your assigned territory.
- Promote our full range of products — interior doors, mouldings, trims, and hardware.
- Prepare and follow up on quotes and sales leads to close business.
- Visit job sites to assess needs, take measurements when required, and offer professional product guidance.
- Collaborate with the office team to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery coordination.
- Stay informed about competitor products, market trends, and industry developments.
- Always represent Portes Express professionally.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in building materials, millwork, or construction trades.
- Bilingual (English & French) – required.
- Solid knowledge of interior doors, trims, and mouldings is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (travel required).
- Proficient with email, quoting software, and CRM systems.
