Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Automotive Technician to join our small team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment to diagnose and resolve vehicle issues efficiently.

Local, independently owned garage with great customer base in lovely Byron.

Service advisor interest could prove to be an asset…not a necessity

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs and modifications.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to determine necessary repairs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Assemble components and systems as needed, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their vehicle needs and repair options.
  • Assist in heavy lifting tasks related to automotive repair and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Experience

  • Previous experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes.
  • Familiarity with various automotive systems, including electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience with heavy lifting as part of routine job duties

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
