Our mission is to make quality eye care and eyewear accessible to everyone — including those with mobility challenges — by bringing professional optician and optometry services directly to clients' locations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a
licensed Optician
to join our growing mobile eyecare team on a
part-time basis
. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing exceptional patient care, enjoys working independently in diverse settings, and values flexibility. You will assist clients with eyewear fittings, adjustments, repairs, and lens consultations during mobile clinic visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct eyewear fittings, measurements, and frame adjustments for clients in various mobile settings (e.g., long-term care homes, community centers, workplaces).
  • Provide expert advice on lens options, coatings, and frame selections based on clients' prescriptions and lifestyle needs.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation of prescriptions and assist in order verification with optical labs.
  • Perform minor eyewear repairs and maintenance when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and eyewear orders.
  • Collaborate with optometrists and support staff to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery.
  • Uphold company standards for professionalism, client satisfaction, and hygiene protocols during on-site visits.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Optician
    in good standing with the
    College of Opticians of Ontario (COO)
    .
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and willingness to travel to various client sites.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
