Job Summary:

TOTAL Transportation Solutions Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Logistics Specialist to join our international Sales team. In this key role, you will you will play a pivotal role in providing top-tier customer service and logistical support within the fine arts industry. You will be responsible for managing complex air cargo shipments from end to end, with a strong emphasis air freight documentation, customs processes, IATA compliance, and stakeholder coordination. You will serve as the go-to expert on air logistics within the team, supporting high-value shipments for clients in the arts and culture sectors, and ensuring seamless execution across international projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to service inquiries, providing accurate project estimates and tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Lead the air freight booking process, including routing, airline selection, rate negotiation, and documentation.
  • Ensure all air cargo shipments meet IATA standards, Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations (as applicable), and all relevant international and customs requirements· Coordinate closely with customs brokers, warehouses, carriers, and internal operations teams to ensure smooth and timely movement of cargo
  • Act as the primary logistics liaison on assigned projects, communicating directly with clients, partners, and internal departments
  • Prepare or review shipping documentation, including AWBs, manifests, and permits (e.g., CITES, Cultural Property)
  • Manage and maintain detailed records, including company account master files and shipment documentation, to support sales activities.
  • Identify and resolve any shipment discrepancies, delays, or compliance issues, proactively escalating when needed
  • Support the Senior Manager in process development, quality control, and best practices related to air freight operations
  • Maintain accurate records and provide shipment updates using internal systems and reporting tools

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in international air freight forwarding
  • Strong understanding of IATA regulations and air freight documentation
  • CIFFA certification required; IATA DGR certification an asset
  • Experience handling specialized, high-value, or regulated cargo is a strong asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional client-facing demeanor
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and varied logistics software
  • Fluency in English required; other languages an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
